Hogmanay Edinburgh

Start 2012 with the the world famous Edinburgh's Hogmanay. There are crowds & spectacular events from performers from all over the globe.

This year Edinburgh’s Hogmanay kicks off on Friday the 30 December 2011 and finishes on Sunday 1 January 2011 with the main events of Concert in the Gardens; the music and fireworks spectacular, and the group Primal Scream as the main act to help you bring in the New Year

Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The Carnival of Tenerife is celebrated over several days with brightly coloured costumes and lively carnival-goers who flood the streets of the city with an extraordinary festive atmosphere.

The festivities start in Santa Cruz on the Friday before Carnival Tuesday with thousands of carnival-goers in fancy dress who dance and enjoy themselves until the early hours of the next day. This year the Carnival of Tenerife starts on the 26th of Feburary, and will finish on the 12th of March.

Christmas Markets

A Christmas in Europe is not complete without the ambiance of the many Christmas Markets peppered around different European cities.

Probably the most famous Christmas market in Europe is the Nuremburg Christmas Market, however there are numerous others that stand out and deserve a little special attention. From Copenhagen to Cologne, and from Strasbourg to Stuttgart, each Christmas Markets has it only personality and it's own special bit of Christmas magic.

Carnival of Venice

Carnivals are celebrated around the world in hundreds of cities, ranging from celebrations that attract just the odd few tourists to those that attract hundreds of thousands of spectators. Many of the larger ones are internationally renowned, such as the Rio Carnival in Brazil, though in Europe one of the most popular Carnivals is celebrated in beautiful Venice, Italy.
