The Mediterranean town of Menton on the French Riviera is famous for its annual lemon festival but also puts on a show during the festive period. The Bioves gardens, opposite the Casino, are home to dazzling light shows and delicate sculptures in wood and ice.

Menton Lemon Festival

The quiet town of Menton bursts into colour for one of the Côte d'Azur's most popular events. The Lemon Festival is a celebration of the fuit with huge constructions made of the fruit and a float parade on every Sunday during the festival

Nice Carnival

The Nice Carnival is the top winter event on the French Riviera. The city comes alive with processions, flower parades, rock and dance concerts, and fireworks. It attracts over a million spectators. The centre stage for events is the Place Masséna. The carnival ends on Shrove Tuesday where the parade of the papier mâché giants dance their last dance.
