Mont Blanc

As part of the Mont Blanc Ski domain, skiers have access to 700km of slopes and 343 official pistes in amongst others, Chamonix, Les Houches, Megeve and St Gervais. Chamonix is arguably the capital of Alpine sport, with its position next to Mont Blanc, awe-inspiring scenery, great piste terrain and excellent restaurants and nightlife. St Gervais is popular with families wanting a cheaper alternative to Megève. Its main ski area is on the slopes of Mont d'Arbois, which is accessed by fast gondola via Le Bettex. From here you can ski down into Megève. Much of the skiing is pretty and tree-lined and there are some good mountain restaurants as well.
